C F The leftover Turkey, G C Is mostly now all gone, E7 F The Christmas tree is still up, G And there’s still some carols on, We listened to old Charlie’s speech, That was rather queer, I’ve been listening to Elizabeth, G G7 C For almost fifty years, C Well it’s no longer Christmas, F C But it’s not quite New Year, F C Does anyone remember, G C What the hell we’re doing here. Do you know what day it is? I’ve slept in again till noon, I’m sure that New Year’s party, Must be happ-en-ing soon, I’ve eaten so much cheese and cake, I’m struggling to move, Just a little more of the pudding, And my outlook will improve, This window out of space and time, Is really rather odd, I’m not wearing any pants, And once again I start to nod, Did someone put the bin out, What day do they collect, The Hot Cross Buns are in the shops, Just as I’d expect,
