Am C G Am Out of the hive and into the garden Am C G Am Born on my wings of silver I fly, C G Am Em Guided by sun and by symbols and magic, Am C G Am Seeking the pollen of life till I die, Flower and blossom and leaf they call to me, Draw me just as cousin moth to the flame, Offering sweetness like young lover’s kisses, The nectar of life is birthed out of my game, C G For the hive, the hive, Am G Is calling me home, Am G Am Calling me home with my treasure, A thousand brave sisters venture out with me, But each one must carry their burden alone, Though my life is short, the hive lives forever, Unless fate has closed off the path on her own, I never will know the embrace of a lover, That duty is left to only the Queen, But the flowers and breezes and sunlight surround me, I dance in the glorious rapture of being.
